Syphilitic pattern and other associations

Syphilis is a rare
cause of aortitis and characteristically produces calcified saccular aneurysms of the ascending aorta.
•
Other conditions associated with aortitis include Takayasu disease, giant cell arteritis and axial spondyloarthritis.
